- ✖ Enjolras, Zelos Wilder, and Simon Keyes have been dropped from the game. In exchange, we are welcoming Akane Kurashiki, and Alfendi Layton. Ange has switched Simon with Keyes, but Beato is coming in fresh with Akane, so please give them a warm welcome! You may find the IC intro over here.

✖ As seen, we will have two green SOLOs for this round, due to the uneven number of characters left in the game. Things will remain as normal, however, and the IC excuse Calhoun will give will be "ughhh, you guys want more work from me? I'm being worked to the bone here! Sheesh, why don't you try kidnapping more people, demanding test subjects."
✖ Finally, our last matter is a new rule in place. Due to the limited number of slots in the game, we will now place a limit on the number of characters per series. There will be a maximum of three characters per series in Vivarium at once. For example, the Professor Layton series now has three different characters in the game (Alfendi, Clive, and Hershel), so no one else may app into the game from the same series, unless they wish to be placed in the queue.

✖ We’ve had a few concerns brought to our attention about puzzle rooms not getting completed in the timeframe. We understand this makes both voting and AB Voting Round reactions more difficult as well. We’ve been brainstorming on a way to encourage the rooms get completed or mostly completed by the end of the timeframe, so please read our changes to the puzzle rooms:
- ✖ Puzzle rooms will now last four OOC days, instead of three. The calendar will soon be changed to reflect this. This four OOC day change will only affect the puzzle rooms and Calhoun Hour events, normal IC days remain three OOC days.
✖ We will send out private plurks one OOC day before the actual puzzle room begins, so plotting can be discussed beforehand. We ask that people use this time to plan when all the players in the team can be around to tag the room. If people cannot be around or do not answer in a timely manner we encourage the people who can to go ahead and tag together.
✖ We also want to note again that tagging order in puzzle rooms is not supposed be concrete. They are made to be tagged when people can get around to it.
✖ Please note that all of this is subject to change as we figure out what works best for the game and playerbase. We’ll keep you updated on any future changes as they come.
✖ We would love to hear feedback on this, so please comment below with your thoughts!

Hello, test subjects! It has been a while since our last announcement post, so please give this a read through!

- ✖ Kariya’s player, Erry, has dropped from the game, sadly, so we will have a post concerning this later tonight or tomorrow.
✖ However, we will like to welcome Lisa to Vivarium! She will be bringing in Piper Chapman from Orange is the New Black (TV Show). Please welcome her to the game!
✖ We will resume AB Rounds starting on August 25, Day 18. Characters will be given access to the second floor of the warehouse starting on this day. We will have a post put up concerning this on the day we begin our AB Round.
✖ Characters will continue to have a grey BP and statuses until Day 18, but for plotting purposes, here are our next teams:

✖ As everyone can see, we have four teams of SOLOs and PAIRs, instead of three teams of all PAIRs. For this, we have decided to add a fourth room, through the grey coloured door, for the next few AB Rounds, but this will not be a puzzle room. This is something that will give characters more freedom than the other rooms, and they are not necessarily solving any puzzles. We will release more details once characters enter through this room, but until now, it’s a secret as to what this mysterious fourth room is.
✖ We have noticed that the Calhoun Hour weeks have been very hectic and fast, when paired up with plot events. For this, we are planning on making the next Calhoun Hour events last for four OOC days instead of three to hopefully make them more manageable for everyone. We will certainly have more mingle-based events as well, seeing how well Bingo has turned out for everyone.
✖ We will continue to have the puzzle rooms last for three OOC days, as we feel that that number of days has been working out decently.
✖ We are still learning what works best for this game, so we want to apologize for that and hope that you will be patient for us. We will love to hear some feedback on how everything has gone so far, and any suggestions! Your opinions matter to us greatly.

- ✖ First of all, we are sad to announce Starry, Kotetsu's player, has dropped from the game. Here is a post to address this, along with the IC introduction of our new characters.
✖ With a slot open, we will like to welcome Marie to the game! She will be playing Colette Brunel of Tales of Symphonia, so please say hello to her!
✖ Reminder: Please do your Activity Check if you have not done it yet! Also, we will be having our Mario Party game on the 7th, and another event on the 16th! We will resume AB Rounds starting on the 25th.
✖ Now, this next part is going to have a large impact to the plot. It is mandatory OOCly to participate in upcoming plot, so please read this carefully and fill out the appropriate forms below! Newcomers must also partake in this.
Near the end of the two week break period, Calhoun will be pulling characters into a private room to speak with them individually. In here, he’ll do one of two things:
Threaten to reveal a secret: Maybe your character has something that would be very disadvantageous for the group at large to know! Of course they wouldn’t remember it, and it might be possible that Calhoun is less than honest with his wording, but the evidence he’s going to give is very damning…
For example, Character A was once a prime suspect in a murder! Sure, he was framed but Calhoun doesn’t need to tell Character A that. The group finding out about something like this sure wouldn’t be good for his image and future chances of allying, and these police records aren’t exactly making Character A look sweet and innocent in all this.
Even if your character doesn’t believe Calhoun, would the rest of the group be so understanding when they read those reports?
Shown a memory that the desperately want a conclusion to: There might be something in your character’s life that they hold very dear, like a family member or best friend. Of course, they might not remember them, due to the memory loss, but Calhoun will gladly show them a memory with this important person. Out of context, however, this memory will be more alarming than comforting, and will end abruptly without a clear conclusion as to what has happened to them.
For example, Character B remembers that she was very close to her family, and this memory contains her house burning down, with her family still trapped inside, a fire that she might have started. Before she can figure out whether her family got out or not, the memory stops there.
Calhoun will refuse to give any hints as to how the memory ended, and leave them with a dying curiosity as to what happened.
Note: Calhoun will be going through their memories to find the one thing that will give them the most conflict, so when deciding on what your secret or memory is, please choose one where it will make it difficult for your character to decide what to do.
If you’re having trouble with creating a secret or memory, remember that this is an AU game, so you may create something for this event. Just ensure that it is IC with your character to fall within this situation. If you are still having difficulty with coming up with something, please contact the mods for help.
Also, you may be wondering the reason behind this fun sounding request: Calhoun will be announcing an ultimatum in the next few days, something he hopes will stir things up.
The test subjects will be given a simple choice, give Calhoun a ‘show’ or not only will their dirty secrets be revealed but they can kiss ever seeing the end of these troubling memories goodbye. There will be a timeframe, either put on this show before the next AB game or during, and once voting is done time’s up!
If you think your character will be desperate enough to do something, say so in the form. What does a ‘show’ entail, you might ask? Well, that’s all Calhoun’s going to say! Maybe he means betrayal, maybe he means a fight, maybe he wants a full production of Hamlet performed in entirety in the lounge. It’s more than likely he wants some conflict, and how much will please him is hard to say. He’s not going to be forthcoming about any of it, so if your character is truly desperate they may need to take truly desperate measures...
If someone satisfies Calhoun’s boredom with a good show, everyone’s memories and secrets are safe! The person who Calhoun deems the most entertaining may even win that one cut memory back or a memory of their choice if they’re being threatened with a secret.
