TEST DRIVE

You're awake. You're lying on a cold floor, and your head is pounding. It feels like you've been hit with a sledgehammer. You can barely move, but you push yourself up anyway, and look around. You're in an unfamiliar warehouse, and on your left wrist is a bracelet. It feels heavy, and no matter how hard you tug at it, it refuses to come off. You can't remember how you arrived here, nor do you recognize anyone else. Try not to panic too much. ( For the purposes of the Test Drive, characters will be arriving in the warehouse instead of the Elevator/AB Room) option two. An Ambidex Game has just concluded. You have entered in your vote and there's no turning back. Did you trust your opponent and vote ally? Or did you double-cross them and vote betray? What did your opponent do? Did they vote betray while you voted ally, or did they vote ally while you voted betray? Why did you choose one or the other? Just what did you do? option three. Rules are meant to be broken. You've just reached a certain amount of BP, and you can finally have access to food (low or high quality) or to the dorms. It's great, things are getting a bit more bearable now, but seeing the others without the same "luxuries" as you, you feel like you should do something. It's against the rules to bring food or blankets out of their respective rooms, but Zero can't have eyes everywhere... can he? option four. Exploration and Escape. All the windows are bolted shut, and all the doors are locked. The exit is through the number 9 door, but no one can reach it until they have 63 BP. It'll take too long to wait for help to arrive, and to accumulate that many points. There must be some way out. Maybe if you search enough, you can find a tool to help you break down a door. option five. Wild Card. Want to try something else? Go for it! Have your own AB Game round, have characters argue against each other, try to keep the mood cheery, whatever! Make full use of the environment and mechanics, just remember to keep it within the game's structure.

[ Thankfully, Jake has managed to get at least 9 BP, but he's stuck with shitty food. He's... surprisingly kind of okay with it, like he's willing to eat it since food's food, but he wouldn't mind getting some of that higher quality stuff. ]

[ About to enter the cafeteria but stopping when noticing Sasuke just... hanging around. ]

What are you waiting for?

[It's okay, they can have terrible food together. Sasuke's only got 9 BP thanks to three rounds of allying, after all.]

...Nothing. Let's go in.

[He glances at the people who will be left behind, making a mental note. There's no way he could sneak out enough food for all of them, but...

Could he get away with just a little, perhaps?]

[ And Jake got here byyyy... betraying, oops, but yeah, going in sounds good and seeing what's there. Oh, what a surprise, it's gruel, much awe, much amaze. ]

More gruel. Colour me surprised. Don't they have anything besides this?

[Well there goes that plan. If it were energy bars or something solid, he might have been able to get away with it, but gruel...]

It's still better than what the others have. We should count ourselves lucky we have access to food now.

[...He keeps his tone carefully level, but there might be a small jab in those words. He's well aware how Jake came to acquire enough points to get into this room.]

[ Yeah, good luck stealing that... You'll need to take it with a bowl and trying to sneak out with that is pretty hard. ]

For now. Never know when you're going to start losing BP, though.

[ ... Rich coming from a guy who betrayed his way here. ]

I don't suppose you're too worried about that, though. [Given his chosen playing style so far...]

[ Was that a jab? Well, if it was, Jake doesn't seem too bothered with it. ]

Not really. Betray hasn't failed me so far.

Of course, I can't keep choosing it all the time.

Because people will stop trusting you, right?

[He's poking at the gruel, not quite eating yet. It's hard to have an appetite for this kind of stuff...]

Yeah, and if we're both picking betray, our BP isn't going anywhere.

Luckily, I'm at a solid 9 so I can get food whenever I want, but if you ask me, I'd rather get the hell out of this place.

[ Jake's not really enjoying this stuff, but he's eating it. He feels pretty used to eating crap like this. ]

But now that you've gotten here by betraying people, are you sure they'll be willing to trust you even if you say you'll ally?

[...He'll finally take a small bite. As expected, it's pretty bland. Hn.]

They're going to have to eventually trust me if they want to go anywhere. We can't keep picking betray on each other forever.

[ Noticing that Sasuke has finally taken a spoon of gruel. ]

How is it?

[not_that_sasuke]

It's edible.

[That's... about the most positive thing he can come up with. He allows the spoon to fall into the bowl for now, finding his appetite has sharply decreased even further. He knows he needs to eat, but it's hard to convince himself to, especially when this is his only option.

Instead, he looks somewhat thoughtful as he considers those first words:]

...I don't think that's entirely true.

[ If you don't want it, Jake will eat it. He needs to fill up his stomach. ]

Don't know about that. I wouldn't be eating this if it wasn't edible.

[ He knows that Sasuke is probably referring to his first comment, but he couldn't resist being a smartass. ]

That isn't exactly what I meant.
