TEST DRIVE

Want to test out the setting? Not sure if your character is a good fit? Need to start gathering some samples? You know how it goes:

→ Comment with the character's name and series in the subject.
→ Pick an option or make your own.
    → Tag around.
    → Enjoy yourself!!

The Test Drive will be open up until Vivarium opens on July 5th. Check out these helpful links to get a sense of the game:

G A M E  L I N K S

R E S O U R C E S
You're awake. You're lying on a cold floor, and your head is pounding. It feels like you've been hit with a sledgehammer. You can barely move, but you push yourself up anyway, and look around. You're in an unfamiliar warehouse, and on your left wrist is a bracelet. It feels heavy, and no matter how hard you tug at it, it refuses to come off. You can't remember how you arrived here, nor do you recognize anyone else. Try not to panic too much.

( For the purposes of the Test Drive, characters will be arriving in the warehouse instead of the Elevator/AB Room)

An Ambidex Game has just concluded. You have entered in your vote and there's no turning back. Did you trust your opponent and vote ally? Or did you double-cross them and vote betray? What did your opponent do? Did they vote betray while you voted ally, or did they vote ally while you voted betray? Why did you choose one or the other? Just what did you do?

Rules are meant to be broken. You've just reached a certain amount of BP, and you can finally have access to food (low or high quality) or to the dorms. It's great, things are getting a bit more bearable now, but seeing the others without the same "luxuries" as you, you feel like you should do something. It's against the rules to bring food or blankets out of their respective rooms, but Zero can't have eyes everywhere... can he?

Exploration and Escape. All the windows are bolted shut, and all the doors are locked. The exit is through the number 9 door, but no one can reach it until they have 63 BP. It'll take too long to wait for help to arrive, and to accumulate that many points. There must be some way out. Maybe if you search enough, you can find a tool to help you break down a door.

Wild Card. Want to try something else? Go for it! Have your own AB Game round, have characters argue against each other, try to keep the mood cheery, whatever! Make full use of the environment and mechanics, just remember to keep it within the game's structure.

Yes, it certainly is unfortunate... Now that the balance has been thrown off, it's highly unlikely that the betraying is going to stop. I may even be forced to participate in it myself.

[Because like hell he's going to let any of the betrayers from this round have his BP. Even if gaining nothing can be frustrating, it's still far better than bringing himself closer to death.]

Not that I intend on doing such a thing to you, of course. I would like to continue our alliance for as long as possible.

I guess, but if everyone could stop betraying, we would get out of here faster. I don't think anyone here will choose betray to the point of killing someone, by making their BP zero or less than, though.

[ At least Naegi thinks and hopes so... ]

How can you be so sure of that? We're all strangers here; no one truly knows what anyone else here is capable of. And I do agree that we would all be able to leave this place much faster if the betraying stopped, but again, that's highly unlikely. Trust has already been broken, and it's not going to be that easy to build it up again.

That's true, but to actually kill someone just for a few points... I can't believe someone will go that far, especially when they'll lose complete trust of everyone that way.

[ How will they get anyone to ally with them? ]

True, it's an incredibly stupid thing to do... unless doing so nets you enough points to leave, that is.

[Then it wouldn't really matter what anyone else thinks since you can just walk on out. Clive personally would never do that, even if he was that close to 63 BP, but someone else here might not have any qualms doing that.]

Wouldn't they be caught right after by the police, though? Zero's always watching us with these cameras, he's probably recording everything.

I don't think it would be in Zero's best interest to turn anyone in to the police, considering that any investigation involving any of our murders would likely result in him being persecuted for his own crimes as well.

But Zero is eventually going to be caught by the police, once they realize that we're all missing.

[ Then they can get the evidence that way, since they'll search everything and take away the video tapes. ]

I wonder... even if the police do manage to find us, will they be able to get in? This place seems like it's very well protected.

They probably have something to get in here, or at least figure something out, right? It's not like they can just leave us in here after they find out.

Who knows. Zero might have a few tricks up his sleeve to deal with any outsiders who try to break in. Let's just hope that they aren't very effective.

[Somehow he doubts that they won't be, though.]
