Not at all. The story remains completely the same.

There's four campaigns to the game, however, and each one stars a different pair. You'll have to go through each one to get the complete whole story. I think each one lasts a couple of hours? Especially on the easy difficulty, it won't take long to get through them all. \o

Maybe I can pick it up at the Exchange and give it a try! In turn, I highly suggest playing 999 if you haven't already.

Oh, I have! Gone through both 999 and VLR, and I'm a huge fan of both of them. Wouldn't be able to run a Zero Escape inspired game without playing them, haha.

I'm desperately waiting for some news on ZE3. I'm worrying that it'll be stuck in limbo for a very long time.

Maybe by having this game, we can get the word out about how awesome things are and more people will buy the games!

I do hope so! 999 is on iOS and only $5, so people should certainly get it. Even without puzzles, it's great.
